with the latest v1.3 firmware i have over 36000 tracks in my V3 OG so Blaze should be capable of doing the same hell even better it has better chip but it all depends on the firmwareHi,
I have been looking for info about the V3 Blaze before I make a purchase and have a question for those who own one.
I want a dap that is capable of my entire music library, some 30,000 tracks and climbing, without issue. I had come across the v3 Blaze and wanted to know if it could handle that many tracks. I had sent an email to TempoTec asking for the same information, and had gotten the answer, "The V3 Blaze officially supports up to 20,000 music tracks, but in practice, it can handle up to 40,000." While helpful, this left me a bit confused, and I wanted to ask someone who owns a v3 Blaze for clarity.
In regards to the info above, I have a couple questions:
I appreciate any help yall can give me, and hope this post helps anyone else searching for the same info in the future.
- Is the v3 Blaze capable of reading and loading upwards of 40,000 tracks in it's music player software without issue?
- Or is it the case where up to 20,000 tracks can be loaded with the music player and any above that requires you to use the file browser to play them instead?
The answer the manufacturer gave me was as quoted in my post, which while giving me an idea of the track limit of the dap left me with more questions for clarity, which are the ones I typed out.The manufacturer informed you and basically advised but you want another answer you are hoping to be happier with? Is it possible as they said but they can not support this I would assume.
Thank you, this alleviates my worries!with the latest v1.3 firmware i have over 36000 tracks in my V3 OG so Blaze should be capable of doing the same hell even better it has better chip but it all depends on the firmware
the file name must be v3_analog.upt and if it Dosn't work you should try another sd card formated as fat32I have the original TempoTec V3 and when I try to update the firmware it says "no firmware update found" and the .upt file is placed in the root of the microSD. The thing is, I don't remember if I had already updated to version 1.3 or not and the device says 1.1
Ty, it worked ^^the file name must be v3_analog.upt and if it Dosn't work you should try another sd card formated as fat32
Thanks for sharing i just ordered mine for $130 why not i can sell my OG for 100 Euro any timeGot this email from tempotec. seems like a good deal for the v3 blaze. thought i'm good with my v3 og since it's mostly used as a transport so i don't need the extra power of the blaze but found out that blaze has a faster processor as well.
