Anyone bought V3D? I thought it will be cheaper then V3 but it looks that I was wrong. I'm trying get answer from TempoTec why V3D cost more but it's hard to communicate with them. Any information what cause price difference?

I bought through a local marketplace with delivery from a dealer in China. It turned out to be about $200.
Sometimes he plays on a big system. The resulting sound is Hi-Fi for adults. I think that's why the price is so high.

Is it gold color, or it’s just the picture?
$200 is a good price.

The price is puzzling to me: too low to catch any “audiophile” interest ( :joy: ) but too high for somebody looking for a simple, “pure”, digital player…
I don’t understand why it’s not the same price as the regular V3 (I’ll buy it in a heartbeat).

No, it's not golden. Gray.
This is a color imbalance in the picture.

I temporarily installed it in a large system when I was changing the digital source. And I was pleasantly surprised. )
But I agree with you.

As I understand they officially released only 1.0 fw version on their website. What is 1.1 and 1.3?
latest firmware from Tempotec support if you ask them is 1.3 why it's not on the website who knows
you can find both 1.1 and 1.3 here there's even 1.3 Modded firmware that looks like the new Hiby R3 II 2025 version firmware

Got this email from tempotec. seems like a good deal for the v3 blaze. thought i'm good with my v3 og since it's mostly used as a transport so i don't need the extra power of the blaze but found out that blaze has a faster processor as well.
Aw man I just found this out now after the one I bought from aliexpress arrived (spent ~$200) ah well

is the updated firmware for the og V3 what I use for the blaze? or is there a blaze specific one I should look for?

the Blaze must have a different firmware since it uses different chip
ask TempoTec support i'm waiting on mine Blaze to arrive for $130 why not so when it does i will definitely write to support cause their website is never updated

Added V3 Blaze OTA link for v1.0 firmware https://www.head-fi.org/threads/tem...-functional-with-hiby-os.971088/post-18592341
There is also initial fw 0.04 (TempoTec_V3_ANALOG_2025_0.04_202502180949.zip).

The first one is firmware v0.04 update file to use in normal update mode from microSD card, and the second one (TempoTec_V3_ANALOG_2025_0.04_202502180949.zip) is the same firmware but for USB Ingenic Cloner Tool (it usually uses to recovery bricked device).

Hi, last Saturday I received my V3 blaze from HifiGo. What does usb current limited means in settings? I explain why I asked. As soon I received it I charged it all the way to 100%. I used it a couple of days and the battery was at 44% (it discharged pretty quickly to be honest). Then I charged it again until the led on the right was blue and not red but when I turned it on it was on 88% of battery instead of 100% and after 3 album let's say a little less than 3 hours the battery is at 59%, not that good of a battery life considering I use only wired IEM, no wifi no Bluetooth, I just updated the firmware as soon as I got it Saturday then never turned WiFi on again since then. Maybe it needs few charge / discharge cycle to adjust itself? Or I need to start to worry? Maybe I have to toggle the USB current limited? Thanks and sorry for any mistake, non my native language.

USB Current Limited disables charging when you connect V3 as a USB DAC to a phone
