Tempotec V3 DAP - small, powerful, functional with Hiby OS

I updated my regular Tempotec V3 to the latest version v1.3. Now I'm not sure which version I like better in terms of sound. The sound of v1.0 was more emotional and thicker sounding, with a slightly more expressed bass and vocals. With the v1.3 version, the sound became more even in all frequencies, the vocals and bass became less expressive, but the high frequencies are heard now more clearly and transparent. Although the sound signature has lost a bit of its charm, it now added some clarity and evenness across the entire audio frequency range.

I wish that Tempotec could also improve the sound quality with internal Tidal app. The sound quality when playing through the Tidal app is quite low compared to my other DAPs that have the same Tidal streaming feature.

I really like how the V3 sounds with the latest 1.3 FW. It sounds the best to me when I'm using it as a USB DAC connected to my Smartphone and playing local music files from Neutron or UAPP.

Interesting thing that the V3 can also work as DLNA/Upnp receiver connected via local Wi-Fi to my Samsung smatphone (using UAPP and streming Tidal), and the sound quality is great. It can also work in this mode as DLNA USB BRIDGE connected to another USB DAC and can be controlled by your smarphone via Wi-Fi DLNA (similar functionality as with FiiO SR11). 👍🏻

I'm now a fan of this company 👍🏻

I wish that Tempotec could also release a flagship DAP with dual AKM4499EX/ESS9039PRO dacs and highest grade internal amp components. That would be 🔥

Can anybody confirm that internal Tidal app works on latest fw v1.3? I constantly get "login failed", even after factory reset - none of login/password are saved but message "login failed" is appeared when I tap to Tidal icon. It even does not show login/pass enter form. Qobuz works fine thought.

Update: saw this post https://www.head-fi.org/threads/tem...-functional-with-hiby-os.971088/post-18591231 that confirm it just my issue.

it works but this also happens sometimes you have to logout of your current session and log-in again i usually also restart the player but it should work without this too

Edit: but it's strange not working for you after even factory reset i just confirmed and it works for me on both stock and modded 1.3

Is the clock on your V3 correct? I vaguely remember this happening on hiby players when the clock is wrong it won't let you log in.
