Anyone here got it and/or can compare it against headset like hyperx cloud I or headphones like Superlux 668B and Superlux 681 about the most important point for me : the soundstage, how good and precise you hear ennemies footsteps.
I have the 668B's near-clone SR850. It's more typical sounding than EVO. EVO is bassier and warmer.
SR850 doesn't lack bass. Maybe lacks some sub-bass, maybe, but most headphones do. EVO is a basshead can, relatively speaking. If I eq the bass down a bit, it cleans up nicely while still being warm. 668b/SR850 is probably the one you would want for games.
Hyperx/Pro 80 is closed-back. That's a big deal if you need isolation. Stock Pro 80 doesn't have a very big soundstage, even for a closed headphone. That can improve a lot with bigger ear pads, though it's still more left-right than height. I've criticized the Pro 80's soundstage with its stock pads, but I have little problem with it (especially for a closed-back) with bigger pads. Its midrange is a bit recessed, so it kind of cheats at the soundstage that way, but that's another minor criticism, all things considered. Hyperx may have bigger stock pads than Pro 80. Not sure.
The non-EVO 681 is cheaper than all of these and would probably work well. I've never heard one. At the worst, might have to eq down the sub-bass since it's known to have a good amount. The base version anyway. The 681b version is more balanced.
Superlux also makes some closed headphones. I don't have any.
Xonar DG is really good for what should be a low price. It's hard to do better for less than about twice as much. There's not much else even in its price range.
