Do replacement parts exist and is the headphone easy to fix like the hd800?

Over 5,000 hours in 4+ years, still okayPersonally, I prefer the stock pads. Just wish they weren't so pricey. That being said, has anyone wore out an original pair of pads yet? Wonder how many hours they'll last.
Been listening more to the Z1R recently. Once my brain switches over to this tuning, so much just sounds right.
Especially piano. What. I'm enjoying tracks with piano so much with these right now. I recall a discussion with a pianist preferring how pianos sound with the Z1R compared to other TOTL.
I think it could be partially related to my ears having more sensitivity to upper mids which could make the piano a little too lively (and agitating) to my ears. Maybe the more laid back presentation of the Z1R is more conducive to my ears.
Those are way overpriced lol....

I’ve been using these from eBay for over a year and like them, the angle is nice and there is slightly more room for the ears and I don’t really notice any sound difference.

It’s not hard to remove the ring from the stock pads (it is not glued in) and you can put if back in again.Great price. Is it hard to pull out the plastic ring from the stock pads? Can you put the stock pads back in? How do you manage to adjust the replacement pads correctly with out a guide?
There are 4 different kind of Dekoni ear pads, which one are people recommending? I am in Canada, not much option other than amazon.com or some overpriced website.I agree with you, but they are the authorized suppliers. I'm thinking of getting the dekoni ones when the time comes, read some guys here try it and got decent results. But is good to know at least where to get this parts.
it doesn't really mention which headphone the ear pads are compatible with. You just tried it and it fit the zr1?I’ve been using these from eBay for over a year and like them, the angle is nice and there is slightly more room for the ears and I don’t really notice any sound difference.

Welcome to the club.New IER-Z1R owner here.
Wow. After all the horror stories I heard about (dis)comfort I was surprised to find out how well they actually fit me… the nozzle goes quite deep into the canal, and when all said and done they are not too far from being flush with my ears.
Wish I have tried them sooner!
A quick question — could anyone comment whether the foams that are in the nozzle are sitting at an appropriate ‘depth’ in my unit?
I bought them used, so just want to see if I need to try to bring them up slightly or perhaps someone can share how far up (or down) their foams are?
Here is a photo, tried to overexpose to help with the visual, but they sit around ~2 mm to ~2.5mm down from the very top brim of the nozzle.
