I just want to confirm, to correctly change region all I have to do is open the CFW settings file and change the region then reboot the player??
Yes. Open settings file in cfw folder, make sure the region code is correct, save and reboot your device.

hello, When I put in the CFW folder the volume on High the sound is less loud than on the normal gain. Is that normal? thank you
If you have selected the lower gain option in the settings file then yes

no I chose option 1. but between normal or high gain I don't hear any difference
In the settings file you can chose lower gain, normal gain and higher gain (higher gain only on some models). And then on the player you can chose normal gain and high gain. These 2 sets of settings work independently of each other where the ones in the settings file sets the base line for the ones in the gui.

it's on a 1z. yes I choose a slightly higher gain in the CFW folder. Between the slightly higher gain and the normal gain in the CFW folder I hear no difference
It’s not a huge difference no

Yeah, but once you set the one you want, there is no difference than with a standalone firmware.
