Can someone list the 'features' made possible by Wampy that aren't included in Walkman One? Other than the cool tape effect? 😅
- super Gain adjustment (Highly recommended)
- VPT, a whole new dsp effect (Studio Highly recommended)
- 3 EQ options instead of 1 (10 bands, 6 bands, bass/treble/mids) + completely disabling EQ (apparently does something to the sound)
- On the fly firmware adjustments (restart needed, but no PC)
- Low latency DAC mode

Can't think of any more right now, if someone notices there are more please add

Thanks. Did I read correctly that VPT can be used alongside Direct Source, or is that not possible?

Also, I didn't see an option to disable EQ completely. Where do you find this?

And please excuse my noobness, but I also didn't get the steps on how to enable super high gain (and can it be used with Direct Source)?

I can confirm low latency DAC mode works well 👍🏻

Please consult the project documentation. All buttons, sliders and checkbocks have been documented. You can also ask ChatGPT/DeepSeek to pull the documentation from the web and write a summary for you.

very odd. it very clearly affects something around bass areas, and no, not a placebo when the same bass track can go from lean to ear-hurting bass
It is placebo, here is the code (or lack of it).

Please use terms from documentation instead of making terms up. There is no "super gain", just volume tables. VPT is an effect available on stock firmware for NW-A30/40/50, it was stripped from WM1A/Z and ZX300. You can "completely disable EQ" from standard UI with same effect. "On the fly firmware adjustments" - what do you mean by that, Walkman One config editor?

I am insisting on you reading the docs first so we can speak the same language, making communication much easier for everyone.

it being placebo is very odd.

using chatgpt is a good option, thanks.

Right, there is no super gain, my bad, I will mention however that in stock table values, the 1a goes only to about 200-210 at it's highest, when it can be boosted to 250.

Thank you for clarifying about VPT. Can clearAudio+ also be imported to wm1a/z?

As for the on the fly meaning, yes, adjusting Walkman one config editor without the usage of a PC, doing it in the device.
