It's not something normal to do (it's also specific per device), and I don't expect people to have such issues anyway. That's not the plan.

I'll have to look again into the installation procedure (model changing, etc.) to make sure that these issues go away once and for all.

I'm enjoying my A55 with the R fw and J region, actually so much that today I would probably not have bought a WM1 but just stuck with the A55. I'm sure that when I get my 1Z back and compare the 2, the 1Z will be clearly better than the A55, but the A55 with the R fw and region J is so good that I'm not really missing the 1Z

By the way, the A55 can handle more tracks in the database than the A45. The A45 topped out somewhere around 36-38.000 tracks while the A55 handles all my 45.000 tracks just like the 1Z does

Spending on high end audio equipment is about as discretionary as it gets lol... The DMP is a pure luxury item. Like an expensive watch or designer fashion.

If you can afford it comfortably and like the way it sounds/looks/makes you feel, then hey, no harm in buying it if that’s what you want to do. But if it’s going to set you back financially in any way, then you definitely don’t need it, especially now that we have the amazing firmwares from @MrWalkman

totally agreed. Indeed, DMP-Z1 is only cost a portion of a luxury watch. You will enjoy a few hours of wonderful music with it everyday,

Hello WM1 Lovers

does anybody have problems with album covers and DSD 256 files?

I've bought Jaco Pastorius Truth Liberty & Soul Album from nativedsd.com and no matter what i do i don't get an album cover shown with my WM1A (DMP FW).
I saved the files a few times with Mp3TagManager as well as TagScan and changed the covers but nothing happend. I also put a jpg with the folder name in it.

Yes if the file size is larger than 2GB.

Add the album art image to the album folder with exactly the same name as the parent folder, same applies to .wav files. Should solve the problem.
