Hello, do you know how to put the player in DFU mode, and change the FW?
Although what scares me the most is that the player appears in USB Massive for only 2-3 seconds on my Mac & PC.
Cant remember the button push sequence. It's likely in the repair manual however you still need the correct SW image to push to the DAP. Should be how it works as the DAP, isn't seen by the programming SW
This is something he's worked on recently. If he wants, it may be included in some way in the Walkman One firmware, we'll see. I may do some of my own similar mods in the future.
I'll get back with the boot loop issues later today.
I altered firmware on my wm1a very frequently and realize that once in a while a change in the sound signature is necessary to keep the listening experience fresh. There are tons of combinations that could be made, and the best one so far I've tried is the 1z v2 plus - region E.
I heard that originally D-type amplifier or its adoptive variants was not that easily qualified for high fidelity playback, at least not before the launch of S-Master, on portable gear wise.
The decline of sound quality (noise floor dropping to audible level) will be more significant along with more power is required to drive the speakers.
And the sound of D-type amplifier was not popular as the bass is quite odd that sounds cold and digital.
That is why there are options for WM1 to simulate the bass signatures of A-type and B-type.
