I’m trying to do Stock Revert on MK2. I’ve run the main revert exe but then when I run the revert tuning I’m getting a “device does not respond“ error

Ignore the error. After running StockRevert, you can just run the DMP-WM1 FE installer.

Some users, including myself, noticed a little stuttering when scrolling. For now I don't notice anything anymore.

Nice FE version for me and no trouble with scrolling... and sound still perfect (I love the high frequencies with the IER-Z1R).
So anyway, have a few nice beers once more  ..

Thanks for the feedback, and I'm glad you like it and there are no issues regarding scrolling.

Cheers! :beers:

Same mistake, but without any issues for installing a FE version.

Initial review for this FW: its very lush and analogue sounding. Feels like every note is wrapped in warmth, embracing glow. Vocals, instruments, notes, harmony all sounds very natural & emotional. I don't feel any bright glare at all, often associated with Hi-Fi dap. Top notch sound quality, feels like listening to old walkman cassette player, can easily lost in the music for hours. You've outdone yourself, Mr. Walkman and team. Excellent!

Maybe feels like FW 2.00 but leagues ahead. I don't feel any bright glare at all, often associated with Hi-Fi dap. Thanks for the feedback, I'm glad you like it! Is this on the WM1A or on the WM1Z player?

On regular 1Z and Romi Mod 1Z. The difference is Romi Mod has even higher clarity, etc etc and sound more even lush. But on both 1Z, both gives me the positive feelings of listening to old Walkman cassette player. This is what FW 2.00 should be.

I'm using PW 1960 4 core cable and EE Phantom, so results maybe different for others. But generally, I think if you use warmer and capable iem, you should have similar results, although degrees maybe different.

One of the simplest tracks I love to refer to is also one of the hardest to get right (Regina Spektor, Braille) - the upper registers are bang on the money for me, and the piano - almost holographic in its presentation...

In a world of abject misery, this is one of the only things that can still bring a smile to my face.

Here's more extra tuning for the DMP-A50 if anyone is interested in trying it.

31: -10.0

62: -7.0

125: -6.0

250: -6.0

500: -4.0

1K: -5.5

2K: -3.0

4K: -6.0

8K: -10.0

16: -1.5 to 0.0 (depending on personal preference & what the track needs)

With DC Phase Linearizer ”On” and Dynamic Normalizer ”On”

That will probably very much depend on what headphone is used. What headphone did you use to get to this curve ?
