With the album art downloading which app to use.

I downloaded a couple and although they grab the art from the Web. It doesn't update in the Sony music player.

Do we know which one surely works.

Make sure the cover arts are in JPEG format, and save the tag in ID3v2.3.

Cover art ? Use MP3 Tags program , just pick ....drag....drop....saves.

Hi, just tested on my Japanese ZX1, also on 1.14(000): pulled out my hp's with the stock (!) player playing, plugged them back in, pressed the play button and it resumed the last song I played in Poweramp! Weird. Unlocked screen, displays paused stock player...

However, with screen still unlocked pressing the play button on the side again, stock player resumes and all is well, FWD/RWD buttons still work, no reset necessary.

Did you install any 3rd party apps that might confuse the side buttons?

Thanks for checking it out. Maybe some app I had on it clashes with the new firmware but was ok with the old.

Have you found an app that lets you download album art? I tried several different apps ( i cant remember them off hand and i dont have my zx1 with me) but none of them worked for me.

I can imagine the steps to do album art cover by using an app....I mean with a computer or laptop, it is as simple as drag&drop....type name.....drag&drop...save .... You can change the cover on every song selected even though originally they were different!

I'd assume you can't go wrong updating straight from the menu in the ZX1?

Fine, I didn't know if firmware updates had improved on it or not as battery is important.

It's a meh. Depends what you play.
 
I play PCM converted FLACS and some 96/24.
 
6-7 hrs over headphone out to my MDR1
3-3.5 hrs bit stream through the WM port to DAC.
