Y'all acting like flat is bad, but that's what engineers aim for, a flat RC... a friend of mine even stuck wood boxes on his wall (bass traps) to even out a 80Hz dip.

Woo Audio WA6
Woo Audio WA7

They're on Amazon; don't like'em, return'em.

http://feliksaudio.pl/en/products.php has some nice amps too.
Not a bad thing at all. Those woo audio amps are awesome.

Hello all, does anyone have an Andromeda paired with the ZX-300? How is the synergy between the two? I am seriously considering the Andros

I'm stuck between the Andro, Dorado,IE800S and NCM Bella...@Hawaiibadboy In his NCM Bella review preferred the Bella over the Andro.(He has used the ZX300 too)

New Custom case from eBay.

Wanted a Red outer colour with shiny silver inner layer to match the player.
Smells of real leather.
Looks to be well made.
The clasp has a magnet that doesn't interfere with the screen. But the Play/Pause and Next button cannot be accessed if clasp is closed.

I like leather, but this looks... very thick and awfully flashy.
And it doesn't even protect the upper border of the DAP correctly (= too short), unlike the original case.

I've been using mp3tag for a couple of years now with absolute success, but I've noticed recently (perhaps after an update?) the cover art is not showing for 90% of the recent albums I've tagged. Any ideas on what might have changed please?

No need to remove them, just put your hand over the right ear cup to engage the ambient talk mode. That's one of the selling features of the 1000X
Unfortunately these conversations usually go on for more than 30 seconds, which is what I would mark as the sociably acceptable threshold when performing such a gesture.

Does zx300 have the classic walkman issue of not displaying progressive scan jpg? could be something to do with that...

Another problem that the NW-ZX300 has with cover art is that it looks like it does not display it, if it is too small in size (in kbytes)... I have not understood too well where the threshold is, but 30-50k looks like it's too small, while from 200k on looks to be ok. It COULD also be that all of my small size JPGs were ALSO progressive scans, but I did not check that, tbh. What I did was simply loook for higher sized images for the cover art that was not displaying (which I identified simply by looking at album view, and jotting them down), and replace them with MP3Tag.... thankfully there not too many of them, on a 256GB micro SD. And again, I did not check for progressive JPGs, and they all worked (could be simply 'cos higher sized images are not progressive JPGs, ofc :)). Pity, in a way, as I always preferred lower sized images, normally.

BTW, the manual does say: "The Walkman may not display cover art depending on the file format." which would seem to indicate that the fault lies in the format, rather than simply the size.
