I got my ZX300, delighted - so nice to finally have this unit in my hands! Slight challenge however and I'm hoping easy enough to rectify. I took my 64GB micro SD from my Fiio, popped into the Sony assuming it would see the files straight away but nothing comes up when I select albums or try to navigate using the folder, it shows that no files are loaded?

Try create a folder named MUSIC on your SD Card and move all your files to that folder

I've used the "Apple Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter" to do this, think there's only one version of the USB3 adapter.
As mentioned it's a little bulky for mobile use but you can charge both devices while using it as a desktop/bag solution.

You might not be a fan superuser, but you're still cool! love the hydria spacefolk., and I think I'm going to try the ibasso, they still look too big for my ears but I can always send them back.

I don't think I could ever cover up that beautiful screen myself.

If I need more volume, I'll just dial it up rather than play poorly mastered files with almost no dynamic range left in them. Just my 2 cents.

What do you mean dial up? you mean sound processing software?

Wait a sec, one of the things I'm in the process of listing on eBay to pay off my ZX300 is my Oppo HA-2SE. Ironically, I think one of the accessories is a lightening to USB adapter. And I don't think it's bulky either. Maybe it can be purchased separately.

I know people always like to perceive a noticeable difference in sound to justify price difference, but between these two, negligible.

Don't think so. The OPPO is Apple certified not needing the Camera Connection Kit. The chip is inside it so the cable is just a dumb lightning to USB. There is an option on Penon audio which could be used with the WM-port adapter but never seen a straight WM-port to lightning cable with Apple chip.

The cost placebo makes you think it's got to be better! Tried both and no significant difference SQ so it's down to size, battery life, DAC support.

My needs and cost goes to the ZX300 and 1A returned. The ZX300 is just the perfect size/shape with a quality build plus I can use with Tidal as a DAC to PC or phone. Upto 30hrs battery is plenty.

The ZX300 sounds simply superb with my SE846's and Sony Kimber 4.4mm balanced cable. The HD660S sounds great too but still find the SE846 superior.

I owned both, the ZX2 doesn't even come close in terms of sound quality, especially when the ZX300 is used over balanced, heck I sold my ZX2 because its sound quality was literally crushed by my ZX300 and I wouldn't see a reason to keep it.
Is your ZX300 uncapped? Have you gone through the 200 hours burn in?

Just saw this. No, I only have like 3-4 hours on my balanced output (5 hrs on the SE). I now use the balanced output solely. Uncappped? Meaning, can I raise the volume to it's max setting? Yes, I purchased the Japanese version, and changed the language and I believe it already came with no volume limitation.
