No problem. I am using a Lexar 512GB card. The ZX300 should also take a 1TB, as the WM1A/Z work fine with 1TB. You can check with users if you decide on a 1TB card.

I went ahead and bought a Lexar 512GB card last night, thank you for confirming you’ve had no issues.

Would you mind sharing which combinations did you feel were the best, and in what way?

Sure. I like Region E best for its presence and imaging but it often sounds too strident with the Sony firmware. However, combining Region E with ZX300(A)+ and either the Cerberus or Venus 3 tunings sounds great to my ears. ZX300(A)+ with Venus 3 has slightly more high end sparkle, while ZX300(A)+ with Cerberus is warmer and goes deeper. I'm convinced there is synergy in the right combination that is otherwise hard to get from a single modification.

First time to post in this thread and wanted to say thanks to all the contributors. So much amazing info.
Have read through almost everything and had a couple of questions in regards to the region setting of this unit.
I understand there are subtle differences in sound but wanted to get an idea or consensus as to which region setting most are using or prefer to use before applying specific firmwares. Currently have only changed to J.
Second question was in regards to the Cerberus or Venus 3 tuning mentioned in previous posts. Is that tuning available to flash on top of the ZX300 firmware.

I’m not going to use the case, so I was thinking of selling it, but I can’t find any info on what the original retail price was so I can ask for a fair price. On eBay it is going for north of $150 new, but I realize this is an inflated price, or at least I think so.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated ...

I think they were only available in Japan. I paid $47 USD delivered to the U.K. and bought from a Japanese eBay seller when they were still current.

My zx300 arrived today. It’s in mint condition I owned one of these years ago before buying many high end daps. I’ll tell you what though, this is still a great sounding dap.
