Zx300 is class D amp, isn’t it ? I don’t think any other DAP is using class D like Walkman. This is why Walkman has unbeatable battery usage
but very weak output power? is that why SE is only 50mW ?Zx300 is class D amp, isn’t it ? I don’t think any other DAP is using class D like Walkman. This is why Walkman has unbeatable battery usage
Uh huh, but it is not the class D weakness. It is low power output due to S-master limitationsbut very weak output power? is that why SE is only 50mW ?
I dont like that sony keeps the S-master secret. i wanna see specs on it hahaUh huh, but it is not the class D weakness. It is low power output due to S-master limitations
But do you believe the zx300 can push 600 ohm DT880s hmm i thought the zx300 was made for IEMs..@Tsukuyomi
Good review. Not seen that one. It also appears to show how flat the response is on the ZX300. Nice and balanced. No exaggerated bass, tizzy top end, or 'U' response, etc.
I have a 250ohm DT880 that I’ll test here in a little bit. I honestly don’t see how. The SE only outputs 50mw. Although the SE on the Pioneer 300R only outputs 75mw and it definitely powered them to loud levels. But do you believe the zx300 can push 600 ohm DT880s hmm i thought the zx300 was made for IEMs..

When on either the tone control or EQ page.. press settings toolbox icon and you would be presented to choose whether you want Equalizer or Tone Control. On the Asian ZX300 there are 3 dials for bass treble and balance, but on the EUSSR version there's an equaliser when you flip the screen upward. Is there a setting to change to the 3 dials?
It’s a no from me. Unless the 600ohm is easier to drive than the 250. I mean it’s loud enough but I have zero head room for my preferred listening volume. I personally don’t like that. But do you believe the zx300 can push 600 ohm DT880s hmm i thought the zx300 was made for IEMs..
Damn I had no idea about this. Thanks! When on either the tone control or EQ page.. press settings toolbox icon and you would be presented to choose whether you want Equalizer or Tone Control.
True, headroom is always a good thing to have. The thing is ill never use higher than 250 ohm dt1990 pros on the zx300, so if it can push much much harder dt880s at 600ohms that means i should have boat loads of headroom for my cans. The only thing im scared about now is amazon ran out of zx300s that are normally priced for my country. The zx300s are going for 1699.. but the wm1a are 1499... lolololIt’s a no from me. EDIT: I dunno. I mean it’s definitely loud enough and it sounds good. It’s just that I’m listening at 115 out of 120. And I’m listening to rock. If I was listing to a quiet album like Radiohead’s Pablo Honey or anything classical there’s no way it would provide enough volume.
