Welp, changed my J region to US, switch settings to English, back to J region, and the English language settings were kept intact. Good stuff.

Does it make a big difference in sound from U region to J region?

Didn't listen to U region as my only goal was to keep it in J region with English settings

Hi, i have some questions regarding Macbook Air and Sony Nw A55 if anyone use Macbook Air (M1 chip). I have Sony Nw-A55, i think buying Macbook Air M1 but wonder if Nw-A55 work on that ecosystem.
1-) Can we transfer music files and playlists from Macbook Air M1 to Sony Nw-A55?
2-) Can we set playlists on iTunes for flac files? Otherwhise do i have to convert whole flac archive of mine?

Thanks.

Transferring music is just copying files to an external disk (the Walkman), nothing to do with the OS, even less with the CPU.

Why would you convert your flacs? I don't even understand the question.
iTunes and iOS devices didn’t used to be able to play flac but rather alac, don’t know if it has changed

New M1 Macbook Air has ARM based architecture. So it might not recognize Nw-A55.
Like nc8000 said flac files might not be recognized by macOS as well.

I have a Macbook (not M1). I transfer my files (including FLAC) easily with Finder. Just drag and drop.

ARM should make no difference, it has just to recognize an external usb drive which I’m sure they will

That's correct, but nothing to do with A55. If he has flac files, just copy them to the A55 and be done.
Yes but was asking about iTunes play lists for flac files

That's why I said I don't even understand the question. Why itunes for a Walkman? Why itunes if he has flacs?
It is good for creating play lists
