Who loves their R10?
Hi Jim here,

I am a relatively new owner of a pair of MDR-R10s. I had one pair modified for balanced cable/connections. What might be of interest to the owner's community is the resource I used for the conversion and replacement earpad manufacture. That company is Vesper Audio, vesperaudio.com. They modified one pair for balanced inputs and repaired both for old foam and earpads. I had several earpad versions made to test materials/fit. The last pair of earpads closely matched the originals. I will post photos later. Vesper Audio is easy to deal with and reasonably priced.

Can he make inner foam rings? How much does it cost to do a cable mod? Thanks. PM me is okay too if you don't want to post publicly.

Lately I bought Sony MDR-R10
Very good condition... serial number 213 Bass Light.
I also bought new pads for R10 in VesperAudio... Thanks for the information.
Short period of listening with my dac amp, I prefer R10 over my other headphones that i own ...edited ... I guess it’s more neutral sounding headphones.
It was my dream to listen R10 since 2010
Now finally I achieved it :))
Awesome cans thanks for watching.
