Deciding to keep these. For any who may want to, I just bought a three year extended warranty from square trade for like $17 bucks. With these things selling for so cheap, I think its worth it for a little piece of mind. Found a coupon code on line to bring down the warranty 20% (RGF44BBY).

Good investment, IME. I had a Square Trade on my old iRiver ifp-899. A big static jolt messed it up, so I sent it in and they cut me check for my purchase price. Worth the $$$.

I couldn't agree more, and x2

well I don't own the EX1000's, but to me the 600's sound like a cross between the TF10's and the RE262's, fun and engaging bass like the TF10's, but with the clearity and detail, and mids of the 262's
gs1000.gif
!!! the best of both worlds! and then throw in a ZO or two, well a Voyager!!

KA-ZOWIES batcan! I believe we have an audio caper afoot
ph34r.gif
!! who is this ZO, and what could his dasterdly plans be batcan! could it be audio domination!! stay tuned next week for the final conclusion of "ZO vs. Hi-Fi!!" in a duel to the deaf, as they battle it out for audio supremacy!! lol,

and in the end I bet they get married and live happily ever after!! creating heavenly tunes forever and ever, and have lots of little ZO versions to carry on with the lagacy
wink_face.gif
!! well it could happen
blink.gif
, in some alternate universe, or sumptin like dat! lol

One day there was a TF10 and she met a 262, and they got married and had a baby, and called him EX600! and he had a bestest of friend named ZO! lol, what, it might have happened that way, lol

alright, alright already than! but whatever the story was or wasn't, the combo of the two is pretty awesome sounding regardless. OutKast "I love the way you moove!!" as I'm listening to it right now! couldn't sing it better,

                                       A combo for all seasonings!!!!!!!!!!!

I am seriously having second thoughts about getting ZO v2. Seems like an underground cult than a piece of audio gear

Alright well I know this is going to come across as a heresy for those that have been following or long listening to my love of the CK10's however I'm actually considering parting with them. I'm considering picking up the EX600's and selling the CK10's since the price difference would really come in handy for some unexpected bike expenses I have been experiencing lately.

Now I don't take the thought of selling the CK10's lightly as I went through quite a bit getting a pair and they were/are my favorite universals of all time HOWEVER the financial dilemma is getting quite strong. The issue is that I have my JH5's which I love to use at home but I am too nervous considering their price to really take them out. I don't want to bring my $400 customs with me to class or on the bus, that is just too much money to risk for me. The CK10's are currently sitting in a slightly similar boat in that I don't want to take them out or wear them for travel since I fear something happening to them due to their price and difficultly at ever getting another pair. Anyhow, with the EX600's I would be much more comfortable using them for travel and completely happy leaving the JH5's are home.

The CK10's right now are not really getting used because of the situation outlined above. They are just sort of sitting in this precarious position in my collection where the funding could really be used elsewhere.

The point of all that write up is that I was wondering if the EX600's would be sort of what I'm looking for which is:
-good with all genres
-decent build quality/durability
-natural and enjoyable sound
-not so expensive that I don't want to take them out of the house/away from my desk

I have a feeling they are what I'm looking for but I was hoping for a bit more information/back up for my idea.

EX600 is not so good for bus rides. It's really a sit-at-home and listen type of IEM IMO. It can be done, but most times the isolation will fail you. I would look more into the GR07 (I do love the EX600, don't get me wrong).
