Having pulled the trigger today on Z1R, time to join this thread... fingers crossed they fit!

The pairing with your M9 likely will be Aural-Nirvana level. Having them driven out of the C9 and the LP6K/SR25MK2, power and slight warmth do wonder with the IER-Z1R, this with many genres.

Welcome to the Promised Land. If EXT fits you, I don't see any issues with Z1R, but you never know. Just be sure to have a selection of tips available.

Fit was always a concern and I had no way to try them - that led me on a path exploring various other IEMs, ultimately now bringing me back to what was the most desirable to me at the start!

Cost of tips, I'd be nervous to total them but I'd take a guess there must be $400-$500 worth! I have a tip FOMO issue, almost anytime I read X tip is the best ever, I'd immediately buy!

I'm on that side of thinking where "Silver cables are pure snake oil"

I’m using Dunu Blanche on both my iem’s. Partly because I like the silver sound, but mostly because of the swappable tips

How's the fit on the connector side? Heard some say the z1r mmcx is a little bit recessed?

Yes it’s recessed so will be hell to remove the cable again but that is the point of the Blanche that I never have to remove it as it has the swappable plugs the other end
