Got a Z1R coming in and looking for some recommendations. I started to look through some of the pages but there's just so damn many.

1) I'd love to find a cable that's thinner and has no memory, is there one that works and slots in well with the Z1R?
2) What are your favorite ear tips?
3) Anything else you'd recommend I know about the Z1R or additional accessories you like for it?

Hi everyone! Seeking help - one of the kids accidentally pulled and broke off one of the MMCX connectors and Sony UK is telling me they don't have the parts anymore... what other avenues for repair do I have? Anyone aware of UK based techs who can help with this?

Appreciate this, looks exactly like what I’m looking for. Just to make sure, it’s the IER option right? Also I read through the thread a bit and saw some cables didn’t match well, does this cable fit perfectly with the 1ZR?

Yep perfectly I use the x6…
Regarding the IER bit just drop them an email to clarify it’s for the Z1R but I’m pretty sure it is as the cable would be way too thin for the hp

Good eye, didn't even notice I was saying it wrong. Also appreciate the recommendation, really like the way they build cables and their customer service has been great so far. Noticed they also have cables for the Diva which I need.

If you love the W1, you'll love pentaconn coreir. W1 have great imaging compared to others due the thick and hard stem, and the pentaconn coreir is better than W1 in terms of technicalities.

Not a nice way to start the day. The left side of my Z1R does not produce sound anymore or a very faint one when I wiggle the metal part at tip of the Sony cable. I guess a connection issue.

Did you ever switch cable with other cables? I just curious is the inner connector really that fragile

Please post your thoughts after you tried those tips, I’m curious how the coreir specially work for you, leaning towards buying that pair myself.

Unfortunately, I can't get a good seal with either Pentaconn size I have. I thought about maybe getting some more in a bigger size, but I have so many tips already.

Got the Z1R like an hour ago and here's my initial thoughts using an A90D + E70V. I do have an Rs5 also coming in later today that I'll test the Z1R on and a Wa7 Fireflies (though it doesn't play perfectly with IEMs)

- Not wanting to ignore others who've had fit issues but these are MUCH more comfortable then I expected. They're more comfortable for me than the Diva which is really surprising. I ordered some Final E tips but honestly the M silicone work perfectly for me.

- The cable is MUCH better then I thought it be but more annoying then I had hoped. I wish it sat better on my ear as it kinda just wiggles around. Debating on getting a replacement now.

- Haven't done a full A/B testing but at first listen, I heavily prefer the Elysian Diva. I do like the sound of the Z1R but I have yet to find a song where I'm wow'ed. When I hear Celine Dion or Selena for example on the Diva, damn, it's maybe the best audio experience I've had outside of the Stax x9000. Going to give it some more testing though today, so far they are meeting my expectations and in some cases surpassing them.

I have done some listening to the Z1R with a 75 ohm impedance adapter and I am extremely satisfied with the results. It tames the annoying 12kHz peak by 4db so you can lister louder and longer. It also adds more energy starting at 18kHz if you're lucky to hear that far.

Highly recommended. You will need some juice though.
