If you care anything at all about vocal jazz and have not heard of Chie Ayado, you are in for a real treat. The quality of the album recordings are sublime. She covers a lot of classics. Try this ( it is garaunteed to raise the hair on your arms ):

Chie Ayado: Hallelujah

Daft Punk - Digital Love
Love the treble on DT990.

What is the treble like on the DT990? I have a K701 and I find Daft Punk (75% of their songs) quite unbearable to listen to. The treble is piercing my eardrums.

I know most Beyers are known for the pronounced treble, much like the K701. Have you heard the AKG K70X or Q701?

K702 65th anniversary edition has tamed treble (as compared to those other K/Q70X models). I prefer this model over all the other AKG headphones I've tried.

And to contribute 'The Best of Chet Atkins' sounds wonderful.

Nice and simple.  The acoustic solo during the bridge is really nice as well.
