Yup, in comparison. To me 846 sounds like you're onstage with the musicians, whereas the H8P sounds like you're watching the musicians perform from the 3rd row of the audience. The H8P doesn't really have recessed mids, it's just not brought forward like the 846 is.

One last thing to consider is that the SE846's sound can be customized without the need of EQ whereas the W60 cannot. A quick glance at your settings tells me you may prefer the blue/balanced sound. I am not a fan of electronically EQ my sound and the 846 filters sound natural to me.

That is something i would love too. Customization. Just found out, the place where i live se846 costs ~937 USD while w60 costs ~1130 USD.

I've been enjoying two months of the SE846, use the Ibasso X90 for listening but sometimes accompanied by Oppo HA-2 this amp gives you more drive and I like your listening, also combined with the HA-2 iPod classicc 160G ,

I have not tested the fiio x3ii, I can not answer you, if you say with X90 ibasso surprise gives you a sound, deep bass and treble subwoofer falling crystalline and very much present media.

I can almost promise that they will sound even better than expected. If not you can still mod the filters and tips and also bear a burn-in period in mind.

The 846 is wonderful in it's price range but to compare it to the much more expensive K10U would be a stretch.

  IMO The 846 thread is much better than the Noble thread BTW. The Noble thread has too much off topic chatter, I unsubscribed from there within a week.
