Sorry to hear this Chris, either my ears were not as sensitive or something, I didn’t notice such when I had them! Did you notice this since you received it last week?

I can’t say I know whether such small distance might cause noticeable difference but can ask Shuoer for you.

As a way of comparison, the other set I’m using now seemed also the same that one side slightly shorter than the other but I’m unable to tell any difference or issues...

I just checked my set of EJ, they looked fine, the drivers on both sides were aligned/spaced about same.

Someone was in SZ testing out those Thie twins and I was so wishing he go ahead test the EJ as well but seemed he’s only interested to test the twins. He got the Monarch in the end.

If I’m not mistaken, only HBB tested them all (well no surprise there isn’t it) - our short bus conductor didn’t either

I hope they fix the QC issues too in the new model. Really loved the Tapes, but the right driver died on me after just a week of use.

- Swapable sound tube (great news but hope can find standard ones)
- the screw drive on the back will adjust the bass!
- separated driver units to achieve better mids quantity, also gives better coherence and too have much better sound stage* both horizontal and vertical
Edit: - 0.78 not MMCX
- alum colour (personally don’t like it and hope they offer diff colour)

- FR chart looks like this - drop in 3k! Then slow rise to peak at 4K!

- same price as Tape! Looks like a winner to me, can’t wait!!!
- ps, most importantly they improved on QA (a must as it’s plague with issues previous gen)

Since it seems that you can actually adjust the bass. I guess that graph is the "stock" setting without the bass boost?
