So finally after 8 months, i have a channel imbalance of -6db on my right shuoer tape bud. Any diy fix for this?
Sorry to hear - indeed QA seemed to be some issues with the Tape! Wonder whether it is because of the driver unit is first gen... is it still under 12month warranty?

Anyways, I’m not qualified to answer but guess you check the usual (sound bore not blocked, no impact thru damp, soldering came loosen?)

If its actual driver unit failed then obviously might/might not be fixed by simply DIY

Now that I have the Quedelix 5K, I need to try the Oratory EQ settings on it.

Shuoer Tape EQ:

low shelf: 45hz, Q: 0.8, Gain: 1.5dB

Peak EQ: 120hz, Q:2.2, Gain: -3dB

Peak EQ: 1350hz, Q:1.5, Gain: 2dB

Peak EQ: 3500hz, Q:2.3, Gain -4.5dB

Peak EQ: 6000hz, Q: 2.9, Gain: -2dB

Peak EQ: 8000hz, Q:3.0, Gain: -1dB

High Shelf: 10 000hz, Q:1.1, Gain: 2dB

Please try this preset if you have the Tape, I like this better than the Oratory1990 preset. (This is my own preset.)

And another modded EJ07. Now with a matte real carbon faceplate. I think it is absolutely beautiful. :)

BTW if anyone wants a more TOTL level of treble out of the EJ, just up 15-16k by 5-10db. It actually works.
Great! Maybe I’ll try this - will it be shouty :D Remembered you mentioned once that Shuoer said they can’t do it otherwise will distort overall tuning (which I find a bit doubtful giving they separated by dedicated sound tubes and 15-16 are by the ESTdrivers with their own tube)

How is this now measure up compared to MEST, dude?

15-16 KHz is upper treble “air”, for harmonics. I don’t think I can really hear things above 15 KHz. It‘s the upper midrange, around 2-5 KHz that can make an IEM sound “shouty”.
