I was pushing the same! Luckily on the Thie thread I think someone actually now lives in SZ and I believe he will test out and share some feedback in due courses? I hope he can manage such, I would definitely do if I were him :) - stay tuned will be good

Does the Tri Starlight have the same tuning as the Shuoer EJ07 or is there a slight difference? The Starlight use Sonion mid-drivers instead knowles and the estats are a newer model. Does anyone have these two to make a comparison? That would be nice.
EJ07 and ST7 also use Sonion 2389 for midrange. EST looks the same to me. Never had the Strarlight for testing, but I'm sure they are identical to EJ07 and ST7.

Agree, BAs & ESTs are the same, DDs seemed the same too. But I know the fact tuning is different - as I was asking someone back then when deciding whether to go for ST7 or Starlight / EJs.

Ps, BGGAR didn’t like Startlight much...that’s a source of feedback to take into consideration.

I don't get it. You loved the EJ07.. then you broke them. Now you are trying to by all this other stuff but really want the EJ back? Just buy a pair!

It's because i like the shell and the faceplate more and the Starlight is now much cheaper than the EJ07. I could get it for 510€ vs the EJ07 for 770€. That's a lot of money. When i can get the EJ07 for the same price as the Starlight, i would buy it instantly.

I thought last time you only need to send the broken ones back to Shuoer who agreed to charge you (you didn’t share how much but hope not crazily)? That would be cheaper than 500 no?

It's not the same IEM. Different tuning. No rear damper...

The EJ has been fixed up and looks much better:

As the EJ07 was broken, i had no money for the repairing and i was so frustrated, that i sold the drivers to buy a new iem. Now i sold some old stuff that i don't need anymore. Now i could buy a Tri Starlight for 510€. But if the tuning is different, than i don't buy it.

I feel for you, it’s so hard dont have the IEMs that sound right! Perhaps you can hang in there just a little bit more, some good second hand sets might come your way? I do have my brand new “back up set” sitting in my drawer...

Sure, mine was also secondhand. I bought it nearly as new for 400€ from a hifi friend, who doesn't like it so much. At the first notes i also didn't liked it so much, but as i compared to many other iem and had some burn-in time, this wowed me a lot. The tuning was perfect.

I love it right out of the box - only point though is to use a form tip.

Similar to those two ThieAudios twins, currently pairing with iBasso CF01 (which been caught with 20ohms) sounded amazing (let along wire free!!) win-win all day, although battery life only 3hrs (guess due to the energy hungry ESTs?)

Anyone here has heard ThieAudios’ twins and how they compared to EJ07? Just checking the specs they both seem only come with 2 Sonion ESTs vs EJ’s 4, sound output might not be high enough?

@redrol you are my best bet but not seen any YT to support my suspicion :D

haha @Spa03 thanks my man. I hope to try the tribrids from Thieaudio but I don't intend to buy them for various reasons. Mostly the fit is not at all my style with the short bores that dont have angle to them. Also I don't like TOTL tuning. For some reason it tends to be overly compressed high end treble which gives the illusion of magic treble but in reality is not correct for the mix. Im definite about that last point after trying some high end stuff. Anything that doesn't match Etymotic mids/treble more or less is completely out :xf_eek:
