No headphone audio press awards, but in this configuration23E83489-662C-41EC-888C-49010137660B.jpeg a hearty endorsement from the owner of the Krusty Krab006D1941-305A-4BCB-B150-E20AA2B6A53E.jpeg
Does the Beyerdynamic remote have decent range, and does it work when remote is pointed at an angle?

Diana V2 has become my new "daily driver" :grinning:
Hi there!

Could you write about your experience listening to Sennheiser and Diana V2? I have HD 800S and HD 820, and I am thrilled with them. I have the itch to get one of the best in business planars (it seems like addiction is in the air). Would you say Diana is the best planar? :) Are they a lot different sounding than HD 800(S)? Do you also have experience with Audeze or Final D8000?

Cheers!

Subwoofer arrived. Was super easy to connect to sats, having a sub out, but I keep tweaking the levels and xover as I play music, trying to find that happy medium. :) It's a forward firing sub with a flared port facing down, with a 150w amp plate. It does a nice job of filling out the bass response, the trick is trying to keep it tight. I am still working on placement. Model MSUB-112BL

The unit comes with carpet spikes installed, thus the mat I have underneath it.

Testing with a bass track, I do get some response in the 30Hz range, tho it's not super rumbly, but there is life there. :) It's not a boomy hot mess either, tho I did have to move it away from my back wall to tighten it. It gives a very satisfying presentation with the sats, and very appreciated when I watch movies.

The new setup is : $225 for the sats, and $65 for the sub.

EDIT: Just watched Ahsoka e05, and the movie experience was just enjoyable, lots of girthy rumble in the action moments.

That looks Schiity!

Nice looking Tube. I've got a Vali 2+ and am interested in what tube you are running and if you think it was a good step up from the stock tube?

Hello there!

The sound signatures are quite different, I would say the Dianas have better bass in almost every aspect (impact, detail, loudness, etc.), I use the Lokius (my EQ) to add midrange to my preference, but I find myself moving each of those knobs to accommodate the recording - not the headphone.

The Dianas are the only headphones in which I didn't immediately revert to my senns - something I can not say bout any of the other headphones in my signature...

The Sennheisers are still better for certain recordings, usually dominated by acoustic guitar, vocal harmonies, etc (think America, some Eagles, etc.)

As a daily driver, the Dianas handle almost every genre I throw at them with such engaging sound - I barely think about the senns - even with them staring at me  Certainly the best planar I own. Side note, they do seem to require more power than the HD800S; with the Lyr I am nearly at 3:00 on the knob for quieter recordings.

The beauty is in the engineering brutalism - the solid machined frame, the golden planar driver hidden beneath, the Fibonacci spiral...
