Now less than 6 months later I have changed out everything. I loved the Rockports but had some issues with the quality of the finish on them that was not resolved to my satisfaction. They went back and I picked up a pair of Estelon XB diamond mKII. I also sold off the D’Agostino gear as after getting the premier Dac and trying it with the MSB s202 amp I could not justify the price difference. Plus MSB has a great upgrade policy. I am happy for now but I need to honest with myself as this is not the end of the road. There is at least one more speaker, amp, and Dac upgrade still to come. IMG_3363.jpegIMG_3365.jpegIMG_3366.jpeg
What kind of flatscreen is that? (guessing it's 65")

Are you calibrating the flatscreen? If not, I can't think of any reason to have that device covering it...

It was only so we would be distracted and not notice the microwave oven sitting on his Bartok. Duh! :p

I'm guessing some type of acoustic treatment for stereo listening (audio reflections off the flatscreen?)
That would be my guess as well (not my photo, pulled from another forum as an example)

Exactly, it makes quite a big difference on imaging and overall smoothness of sound surprisingly.

If you could pull the speakers off the back wall more it would really help with the imaging too. Currently I have my speakers 3ft from the tweeter to the back wall. I also found that some diffusion behind the listening position does wonders too.
