Thanks! 300 watts/channel is some serious tube muscle. And tube quantities. Any pics? Love to see those amps.
Mine is the "prototype" version so it's not got the tubes in front (behind glass) like production units. I actually like this version much better; the production units look like toaster ovens to me (sorry guys). Guys who don't like the prototype's aesthetic decry the "suspenders", but I think they look badass and brutish like this. The Stax headphone setup is on the back wall of this same room in my loft.

You'd think with 96dB speakers I wouldn't notice a huge improvement going from VAC's 200 monos (200iQ's) to the 300, but man, it was a massive step up sonically.

I have a CD63MKII. It was my first CD player, bought it new from Richer Sounds in Northumberland. Excellent. It still works 😊
It's also my first and its excellent. I had two at same time to choose from, second was Marantz CD67 but imho it was too bright. CD63mkII has also better, fuller sounding headphone out, really outstanding quality but pretty high power, low impedance high efficent headphones are probably impossible to listen out of it :D But I have DT880 600Ohm and few harder to drive planars, so its good for me.

Awesome! And that 'table is seriously badass too. Which Koetsu are you using?

Those speakers looks awesome. I can only dream of one day owning a set of Tannoy speakers.

I have a few
The easy favorite since its very first hour (at ~ 600 - 700 hours now), and a permanent resident of #1 arm on the big table, is Blue Lace Diamond. I definitely prefer it over Coralstone, Jade, Onyx, RSP. Its grain is very intricate but subtly contrasted, so it's not as photogenic as the more harshly colored & contrasted Koetsus. But the sound makes up for it :) I love this guy. Some day I need to drag the 009 / T2 across the room to this source and see...just what the limit is, for headphones.

I'm running Tannoys for the rest of my life - the only speaker for me! BUT they definitely made some models that leave me cold. For a smaller, more reasonable Tannoy Prestige model, I love & highly recommend the Glenair 10. Sadly, out of production. For an even smaller Tannoy that still captures the essence of why I love them, Eyris DC3. Sadly, also long out of production :frowning2:

The one on the right is a humidor my wife bought me a while back. Unfortunately it didn't have any cigars in it. Kind of like being gifted a treasure chest with no treasure inside. 🤣

Not big enough for a worthwhile stash of tubes though...I keep cartridges and misc. turntable tools in it.
Damn trade laws... in an ideal world I'd send you a pallet of Cubans...

Those both seem like great speakers. I know sound should be most important but going on looks I'd pick the Glenair 10. But given my very modest budget I'd want to find something used under two grand. I was looking at one of their more modern models like the XT6F tower.
