You went shopping at Dillards and call that productive? We may need an intervention here.

This is my first Abyss, so no frame of reference unfortunately. It’s very dynamic for a planar. Linear presentation with great extension, top to bottom with just the right amount of bass. It’s incredibly resolving (without sounding clinical). You can really get lost in the music. Oh and they are comfortable as hell (something I understand previous Diana’s struggled with).

The @skedra cable is a perfect match (both sonically and aesthetically) as well

If you adore dynamics, then you should try out some AMT ribbon headphones, as it's a hallmark of the drivers. Planars come across as being laid back in comparison.

HEDDPhone 2 is on my list, but honestly Diana DZ ticks all the boxes for me with my current setup. I’m preferring it to my Caldera and I haven’t really started rolling tubes with it yet

I am completely enamored. Diana DZ is a perfect match with my Agartha 2021 (using the bass ported pads).

I may end up liking them better than my Caldera (but you are 💯 right, they are different enough to keep both)

Which earpad material you like with DZ?
