B. And because the flash makes it look like a police station mug shot for audio gear (IRL w/no camera flash, the lighting in this home office is always very low).
I use natural light whenever possible. Where I need flash, I bounce off ceiling or walls, never direct. The image above showing my PC setup with desk is not taken with flash. It's just at ISO 1250 with an aperture of F16, and shutter speed of 1 second with the camera mounted on tripod.

Then again, I'm a semi-pro photographer (semi cause I don't work professionally. Just a hobby):relaxed:

I am also updating the headphone shot as I added two more sets in the last 20 days.

Well, this is the money shot. This is the most gears I have owned, and the most I will ever own. A victory; a disease. I'm downsizing.

I had always only had part of my collection out, so why not go all the way while I still can? This extravagance will always be in my memory, but now I have proof of it.

I agree that the shining lamps of the amplifiers are more beautiful than the fireplace.

Just a casual snapshot without prepare/clean anything out of the table. Too busy comparing Lina amp here. I didn't bring my wider lens to home though, so couldn't captured the whole table.

p.s: The main reason Code23 cable look messy inside the frame, because my cat was waiting for me below the table, ready to catch anything that "hanging" down from table.

Love the lego set. Sometimes when I listen to music I don't know where to rest my eyes. Then I started looking at my computer which takes away my focus on the music, which is non-ideal.

Can be a problem. I used to close my eyes, but lately, most of the time, I'll fall asleep if I do that.
I'm sure you know, the trick is to be relaxed yet alert. It doesn't matter where my eyes rest if I have the energy and calm to choose where my attention rests. On a good day I can even close my eyes without nodding off.
It's sorta like a meditation; emptying the mind and focusing it on a single 'object'. What might make it harder than a traditional meditation though, is how music- when properly engaged with- isn't static. Your mind will still be in motion, imagining and examining ect ect.

Used to my biggest problem too lol!

As I moved to new apartment since 6 months ago problem solved though. I got a clear window to see the city light now.

Love the lego set.
Thanks, you need to see what's on my TT2. I have lego set about Avatar Movie (2010), the climax battle between the Military Robot vs The Black Tiger alike creature haha.

Onkyo receiver!!
Yeah!

I love the TX-x500 series in particular; they are massive underrated and i think they are on par or better than Marantz, Pioneer or Sansui models with similar specs. I got 3 already; one on service (TX-3000), another one waiting to be restored (TX-2500) and the TX-4500 that i'm using right now.

These 2 with an iPhone:

I’ve become an IEM lover this last year. I don’t really value “soundstage” and I feel in ears do everything else just as well, or better.

Way back in my audiophile days I never used receivers...had separate preamps, amps, phono stepup amps, the works.

But before then my first real stereo item that had pleasing sound was a Pioneer 40 WPC receiver. I eventually had it refurbed and gave it to my brother (it's still in service at his house).

And on several occasions I needed to buy audio gear for others, either as a gift or as a starter system for friends. I picked up several of the lower-power Onkyo receivers (in black--not as pretty as yours!) and quickly realized these little boxes sounded damned good, easily better than the Yamahas and Denons I also heard.

Onkyo also made a legendary audiophile 2-channel amp that was sold mostly in Japan. It had the most beautiful vu meters on front. Picture below (though again, stainless looked way better than black):
