Decent answer. Tell the programmers to work responsibly and try to cope with this very difficult task at least in the next couple of years . In the meantime, download the Fiio or Hiby player and enjoy music with gapless.

To me the Shanling music app is broken because it doesn't support gapless.
It obviously needs to be totally recoded.
It's been out for years like this so just say so!

If you try to update M6 International with M6 21 firmware, system will just report error and will not let you update.

Also, the systems look the same? I'm not really sure what exact elements of system you think are different?

The splash screen element when you turn on the player is different. On the firmware M6 21, I like it better. Maybe if you put the firmware from another model will change the overall tone of the sound. It would be interesting to know if there will be a difference in sound or not.
Also want to know when you will fix the bugs in Shanling Music app, so that it reads the same album names correctly, and does not mix different artists just because these artists have the same album names. And, when will track switching without interruption be added? When will you add a smooth transition? Other players from different brands and companies already have this feature for a couple of years. It's very sad that my favorite basic player is inferior in functionality to other third-party apps. Well, seriously, when will you fix these shortcomings?

Different firmware will possibly brick your device, not just change the sound. We will not be changing this.

I can only say that we reported all these issues to software team for a fix. So far not sure when or if they will be adjusted.
For now I would recommend to switch to one of other apps, that's the beauty of Android system.

Unfortunately we do not think it would be possible to upgrade to higher Android version. It's outside of capabilities of our software team, would need further support from Qualcomm side.
