Shanling M6 Player - New version with ESS DACs coming soon
May 25, 2022 at 4:29 PM Post #1,351 of 1,456
Got my update setup and now I have a double clack-clack between tracks while using the Shanling Player.
Feels like it clack at the end of the track and when starting a new one. Source are albums from the SD Card.
I just tried the same thing and mine is dead-quiet between tracks. (Shanling player + SD card files) I upgraded my M6 firmware OTA about 4 hrs ago.

Mine is connected to an ampli used as source with a 3.5 to xlr and drive a modest headphone.
Clacks are VERY much perceptible. Silence when using UAPP but using Shanling Player it's terrible.

Please which exact version of M6 do you have?

Also, 3.5 to XLR cable? Are you running unbalanced output from M6 to balanced input of amplifier?

And do you experience the same issue when using headphones directly from M6?

Just went onto the Shanling Site and the only version available for M6 Pro 21 is V 1.20 where as the latest is V 1.23 THe OTA is painfully slow. Please update your site.

OK, I see in your earlier post you have the download link in your "Articles" but again, If I go to en.shanling.com > downloads I would expect to find the update there and not under "News"

I'm in direct control of the news section and it's always the first place where new updates are available.

Download section is managed by our IT and it takes him a bit of time to update it, especially when it's multiple releases at once.

I'm listening with a M6 Pro first gen. Nothing perceptible at all when running from 3.5 to the headphone.
3.5 to XLR for entry, 6.5 adapter to 3.5 out. Dac is in single mode, gain H.
Yes the Amp is balanced but not using the connections when linked to M6. Thx

Ok, so if there is now issue when running it directly out of M6, it will be some problem in the rig with the amp.

Please what amplifier is hit? Is your M6 set to line-out mode?

It's not running as line-out and the amp is WEILIANG e600.
But the noise only occurs with Shanling Player app not any other audio apps like UAPP.
So maybe this may come from the player cutting tension between tracks.
Unperceptible until amplified?

hmm, might be, did you tested it with either running it to 3.5mm or actually running balanced output from the M6?

I hope it will not go the same price way than the M7 so you put M6 at the price of M6 Pro.
Currently in Europe at big shop with season promotion there is a gap of 60 euros only between M7 and DX320.

It says a lot about the new Shanling pricing philosophy...
For this price you will not have gapless.
