... and "short delay slow" has best soundstage and quality of details, unless it is placeboTrying out the new filters, and this might be placebo, I find the "Short delay, sharp" having a slightly sharper treble..
haha! here we go:
Custom Firmware for M2s based on v3.00: download
(this firmware already has a custom theme editing ability).
Here are some explanation from Fiio's X3. I'm think it should be the same.... and "short delay slow" has best soundstage and quality of details, unless it is placebo

Need to try your work on my M2s ASAP
I'm also fan of Short delay slow, using it both on my M3s and M2s.

M5s? heheSince I work for Shanling, I have much more than M3s
M5s? hehe
It's understood, apologies about weird sense of humour I've got.Since I work for Shanling, I have much more than M3s
But since we are talking about "much more" and if it's not too much to ask...
Any plans to release a DAP based on AK4497EQ?
A hint would do nicely, the reason I'm asking is that there's at least two reasonably priced DAPs that use this DAC available now, but I would rather have AK4497EQ based DAP from Shanling than trying my luck with less reputable (or not that well known) manufacturers...

the volume on the high bit rate files goes way louder. I on high gain and most of my comfortable listening is at 70-80. When I listen to the 24bit albums I have to lower the volume to 50-60.
green version coming also?
since I'm currently "on the road" i would like to connect the M2s to the car's USB plug.
So how do I setup the M2s properly that it will play its music?
When the m2s has been dormant for an extended period, such as overnight, it is very slow to start-up. Is this normal? How slow is normal?
For me, I press the power button, nothing, press and hold for 2 second, nothing, press and hold for 5 sec, nothing, repeat 2 sec hold, repeat 5 sec hold, repeat, wait, repeat repeat, wait, repeat, repeat, you get the idea... About a minute or so after the first press, the Shanling splash screen appears and everything works fine after that. Once it has been in use recently, and I need to press the power button for start up, the splash screen appears almost immediately.
I own it since its release.
The sound quality is great, the bass is huge.
I have no problems with my K10 and Zeus Xra ciem.
What's the current status on this topic? Has this been solved already??
Edit: I'm asking this since I'm also interested to get a Momentum wireless headphone.
And to pause playback when bluetooth is disconnected.
Every bluetooth source I've ever experienced pauses when the speaker is switched off except the M1 and this (and probably the M3s as well, at a guess).
And Shanling please add options for bluetooth to set default volume by 100%
For now, any time if i use bluetooth speaker i need manually increase it to 100%, and if i use headphones i need it slow down back to 20%, is terrible.
i got a little problem with my shanling m2s...
as soon as i use it as DAC i get annoying clicks/pops. both, when i use it with my macbook or with my windows pc...

Hello guys. I am new on this forum, waiting for my brand new M2s...
@Shanling :
I wonder if it would be possible in future FWs to add possibility for the DAP system, to create a small, plain text file named e.g.: .scrobbler.log which contains data about songs played on the DAP... It can be used for scrobbling the data to last.fm server by many of the 3rd party tools available for all OSes. The file format is very simple, it is fully described on the following website: http://www.audioscrobbler.net/wiki/Portable_Player_Logging.
I would be more than happy to have such a feature, also for you it would be a strong selling point I think...
Hi All,
I am a happy user of M2s for two weeks now and like other here I have a great experience with it so far.
@Shanling: one remark about font used for the GUI - the PingFang SC Regular font doesn't contain the Polish national characters and all the strings displayed (gui, song data, lyrics, etc) have bars instead of our characters (below the example):
ąćęłńóśźżĄĆĘŁŃÓŚŹŻ
Can you change the font in the next firmware release? It can be one of the open fonts from fonts.google.com like Lato or even Ubuntu - these fonts perfectly display our Polish accented characters.
Once more thanks for the great job with M2s device.
Greetings from Warsaw!
