Listen to the K550's everyday at work.
 
Have a pair of K340's that get an occasional listen at home.
 
Never really got along with the Q701's though?

Currently Own- 
 
K340,( Hybrid )
K141 (600 Ohms)[ Cardan de luxe ]
K301 [ Discontinued 120 Ohms ]
 
 
All of them are unique in their own way in terms of sound signature, although K340 sounds very different compared to the rest. 
 
Both K340 and K141 require a lot of power which isn't the case with the K301 as it can sound pretty loud with a portable player with adjusted EQ. 
 
All of them have sparkling highs which is not too harsh and just the adequate bass, in terms of quality as they are tonally very laid back and do not pack a big punch. For the K301 though the mid range is very much prominent which is not with the K340 and K141s.

Love my K702's and my K518DJ's with the inner pads removed sound great for the price.
hopefully I can get a pair of K1000's one day, or even more hoping that AKG introduces a new flagship soon!

Yeah.  He's over seas and one of the 501 tags are missing off the ear cup.
