Roll Call for Team AKG

After being relegated to the back of a closet for quite some time, a few days ago I took my AKG K81 out for a spin. For a sub $100 can, they are pretty hard to beat.

Have previously owned the K240S and K271S. Enjoyed the K240S quite a bit, but didn't like the K271S at all. Been tempted by the K701 several times, but never took the bait on account of not owning an amp. Will probably welcome a pair in sometime in the future.

So, for now, count me as a budget member of Team AKG

Just bought a k141s, loved them as soon as I auditioned them. Might not be the best of the line, but they're exactly what I was looking for ergonomics and sound-wise!

Yeah, and I wear glasses too :O Didn't notice this at the store because I tried them for about 10 mins, but once home, ouch... Gotta think of something to attach to my glasses behind my ears to prevent squashing too hard.

w/o glasses, they're very comfortable, squashing is not an issue

K702, arrived today, burning in as we speak.
Joining a variety of others: Senns (650, 535, and other lesser creatures); Stax (Lambdas, 40s (I think)); UE, Shure, Etymotic IEMs; PortaPros, and a bunch of other stuff.

So far, these sound good (different and lively), bearing in mind that they'll be sounding better, I trust...

A K340 & K400 came for me in the mail today, to go with my Sextett and K701. If I need to get rid of the K400, I know where to go.
