I have tried mp3 and wma with both CBR (mainly 320 with some 256) and VBR, didn't find any problem. Normal 16bt FLAC works fine too. Didn't try any odd bitrate before so I am not sure about them.

Foobar2000 (free) for playback, though I use Media Monkey (paid) sometime as well.

thanks 4 ur reply,the sometimes odd bitrate comes from downloading albums for cd baby.which flac player do u use .did u have to pay for it or was it a free download  thanks madnanny1

I use MediaMonkey; very efficient and light on my system. I either listen to music from it when I want to use the speakers or use it to transfer music to the player. It recognizes all removable drives (Flash, T51, Clip+) and lets me copy music to them similar to what iTunes does with iPods. I love it.

Nice, and no problem man, happy to help :)
But right now I'm using s:flo2(T51) -> LoD -> ALO Rx -> Blue-Dragon 1/4 - 1/8 -> Blue Dragon Headphone cable -> AKG K702s.
Either that or swap the blue dragon stuff/headphones for ER4Ss when I'm on the go.

The s:flo2 is such a great player.
