I just checked out the UE6000s on Amazon. I was blown away. They are about $80 cheaper than when I bought them. These are an incredible deal for only $130, I am picking up another pair in white this time just to be able to switch it up.

Non replaceable ear pads is a deal breaker for me. What was Logitech thinking? $200.00 for headphones and you can't even replace the pads when they get worn out. Shure gives you 2 pairs of pads with every headphone. That is service well beyond the call of duty.

Schonen, those headphones' target are young people with not enough knowledge about product lifespan, hence the non replaceable pads. They should assume in 1-1/2,two years time they will be buying new headphones... Probably the electronic circuit will die before the pads gets worn, who knows... Maybe I'm wrong.

Considering their initial price this is inacceptable. Just image a 400 $ pair of headphones ends up in the garbage bin just because the ear pads are worn. Exactly this will happen to all UE9000s(and UE6000s) sooner or later.
People need to complain enough and return those headphones so Logitech will change the design with their next models.

I see I can buy UE 6000 for only $99.00 CAD now so I guess that is a good deal even if the pads do wear out because when I searched for new pads for my beyerdynamic DT990pro the seller wanted $70.00. I need new pads for my DT990pro too but no way am I paying $70.00 for something that should cost no more than $20.00.

Hey there,

after a lot of experiments with different in-ears I gave up (ears too small) and decided to get some over-ears. Found out that UE has their cans on sale and for just 99 € the UE 6000 are fantastic.
I usually have problems to get a good fit, but these are very comfortable, even after a whole day of listening.
Yes, they are on the bass side of things, but I like the extra punch they deliver, everything sounds pretty controlled still. Don't like the sound signature with active NC, but didn't get them for that reason in particular anyway.
Even in passive mode the 6000's are not very analytic, but so much fun to listen to and still very detailed.

Thanks to this forum and innerfidelity's review I found this gem!

Initially I was saving up for a T70p, but I never got a chance to listen to them. Just like beyerdynamics in general and figured they should be great to use with a mobile device.
Any chance somebody here tried the UE and the beyer and knows if it's worth the upgrade?

yeah, that had me stumped too. I just bought them anyway. Figured if they were refurb, I could just return or resll them for the same price. (or a little higher lol)

I just checked again. If it was refurb, it should have it written in the title. That's how the rest of them are on Tigerdirect. SStill don't get the D and H thing. :/
