You guys should just go with the DT1350 imho. I think this review is slightly misleading. Way above HD25s in tonal accuracy as far as I hear.

Nice comparison, I didn't know there was a 600ohm version of the HD25.
I currently own a pair of HD25 C II - could the HD25-13-II be considered an upgrade? I'm not a huge fan of the recessed mids on my HD25 and am currently looking for alternatives (HD25-13? DT990? HD650?)

I personally consider the HD25-13-ii an upgrade from the HD25-1-ii (or HD25-C-ii, which I assume is the same but with a coiled cord). However, it's not a really big upgrade, and then you'll want an amp for it as well. For the money spent, I'd rather look for something with a different sound. That's just me though. 
 
If you don't want recessed mids, then stay away from the DT990. The DT880 and HD600/650 would be more suitable. Are you looking for something in the same size/portability, or are you looking to move into full sized and/or open?

Portability is not an issue, the headphones would remain at my desk - driven by an Asus Xonar Essence One DAC (has an integrated headphone amp which is too powerful/loud for the HD25). Comfort (velour pads) and sound signature are very important to me (I wear the HD25 almost constantly when I'm at home).

Well what sort of "upgrade" are you looking for? What do you like/dislike about the HD25? What kind of music do you favour (if any)? Do you need isolation from external noise? And how much are you willing to spend? I can help point you in a direction if I have a better idea of what you want.

I'm looking for something which works well with my DAC (Asus Xonar Essence One). The HD25 is barely usable because the lowest volume is already insanely high so something with a higher impedance would probably help too. The HD25 lacks a bit much in the mids sometimes and I'd love to have something which has even more definition and faster sound. I thrive on sharp transients and discovering new details.
I primarily listen to electronic music, sometimes other genres as well (rock, classical, ...).
Isolation is not that important since I'm alone in a closed room - a bit of isolation would be neat though since the PC is a bit noisy.
I love the comfort of the HD25 (they fit really well) and the impactful and present bass as well as sharp and rather detailed highs.
My budget is up to ~380€

You know, given what you've told me maybe the HD25-13 is right for you after all. It will fit the same (and comfort is really half the battle sometimes), and it retains many of the qualities of the HD25-1, but trades out a bit of the bass impact and treble zing for a better midrange (so essentially flattens out the response a bit).
 
In a full sized, the Beyer DT880 600 ohm is worth considering.

Im very interested in the pioneers. had the m80 and dt1350 but sold them cause i didnt like on-ears for longer sessions.
how is the detailing/resolution/clarity of the pioneers across the frequencies compared to other 2?

In terms of detailing, I would say the DT1350 is above the other two. If you're looking for a noticeable step up, you're not going to find it here. I think the clarity on the Pioneer is good, in a subdued kind of way, but it's more of a sidestep than upgrade.
 
Would you consider moving to open cans? or the other way, iems could work as well.

I'd agree but I'd add the the Pioneers have other benefits, like being very well built, aesthetically pleasing, and super comfortable.
