Yes, both are very good and different. The ex1000 has unparalleled clarity, and can be equed to hit very hard. Just have to watch for the treble spike.
Yes, you did. I haven't received them yet, but when I do, I'll share. I wasn't crazy about the last pair of brushed nickel, hoping these sound better. I did love the red 2.5s I had, I should have never sold them, big mistake. I sold them before hearing the brushed nickel.
You know what , not long after I bought my first pair bnib black 2.5 , I consulted both you and soundeq about whether or not there's a differences between the acrylic and metal shell , then shortly after I bought my 2nd pair of brushed nickel through addicted to audio ( AUS ) , then subsequently the 3rd pair polished chrome from B&H .
Right now I got a total of 3 pair 2.5 , the only pair which sounds differently is the brushed nickel . The other 2 which is the black acrylic and the metal chrome sound very much alike with each other , the odd pair is the brushed nickel here .
I really do hear a different signature on the nickel pair , it really does lack something compare with my black , chrome which I can't find the correct words to better describe it .
That bass thing on my nickel is just no match for my other 2 .
But having said that , I still very much enjoy it , the nickel is the only pair I'm making good use daily otg.
The other 2 just sleep inside the drawer .
And how do you find the Red tips ? Did you find yourself enjoying the Red tips ? You haven't give your impression about those $1 red tips . Any good on your ears ?
