I completely understand, tis not a problem sir, I will provide help. Here I have for you some pics of guidance. I have included our adorable friend GIR to assist us in our journey.

First, let us find the point of interest

Secondly, we shall get a better angle

Let us now zoom in for a closer look

Please acquirer a coin from the waifu, any coin will do(must be American).

Simply insert the coin into the groove of the base valve, please be sure u are smiling as to not frighten the IE800's. Now turn the dial slowly counterclockwise, remember to hold your smile firmly(extremely vital)! U may stop anywhere within a 431.1 degree radio.

Congratulations! U have now learned how to adjust your IE800 bass valve. Give yourself a pat on the back, it is well deserved. Here is your complementary cupcake...

GIR has eaten your complementary cupcake...

Hi guys,

Ive just ordered a pair of these beauties!:) would like to ask if anyone has tried these with balanced amps? would it benefit much? just curious ,because since the asg2 is without a crossover design would it benefit greatly from a balanced setup? anyone? thanks!:)

Looking forward to pair with my balanced HM901.  Will share impressions when Andy decided to send along my ASG-2.

Actually, quite a number of people find the 1plus2 to be fatiguing in the treble. Those that don't are usually low-volume listeners. I don't want to exaggerate that, though, as the 1plus2 is a very nice iem. I think you are being a bit misleading to say that people are hearing it completely differently rather than people are listening for different things when they listen to their iems.

Could you please share what source that you are using when you found the 1plus2's treble to be fatiguing.

Sure, the Apex Glacier, which is a slightly warm, not-bright amp. Brighter amps would be worse. Listening at low volumes mostly eliminates the issue, which will mostly be a problem for those sensitive to treble spikes and those who listen for longer periods of time. My overall impression of the 1plus2 is quite positive, so overly focusing on this issue gives the wrong idea of my take on it.

Whoops. I was talking about the cable, and the shell looks MUCH better than the one I got on loan before.

More to come later.

Revised stock silver cable or the revised silver/gold?

Ok, there seem to be definite variations in sound. This pair is smoother up top, with more bass focus than the last one I heard. Not once have I been assaulted by a crappy recording, and it seems to have greater sub-bass impact than my ASG-2.

This might account for the variations in impressions between owners.

I'll do some listening from the T1 later, as well as some cable swapping.
