What IEM bumped the 2.5s out of your rotation? Very interested to hear what has stolen the crown!

Ref 1 Too has had the number one spot. I also added the Tralucent Plus 5, which doesn't compare bass wise to either, but hits hard and is special in its own right. Mix that with the Sony EX800st, just no more ear space left.

Ref 1 too I am guessing ;)

Good guess. Ref 1 Too gets most of my time, well it was until the P5 came... Still prefer the Ref 1 Too though.

Lol. Not yet. Haven't heard it yet, but we shall see.

Still have my asg g2...

Never heard it.

Me neither before the sales period, but a -30% plus good reviews were enticing enough to try, and the result was more than convincing.
That being said, it's not like ASG2.5 are bad, but the Angie at normal price are worth twice the ASG and it really shows on build quality and SQ.

Really? I've tried both and would have said the opposite.

Very educative comment.
Don't bother posting if you're too lazy to write an actual answer. Your 3000+ posts don't make respect and explanations optional...

And by the way, bass can be changed on the Angie, with better results than I could ever obtain by playing with the bassports of the ASG2.5. Partly because the dials are more precise and do no rely on air intake since the Angies are entirely BA-based.

Regarding build quality, although I really appreciate Aurisonics and only have good comments about their after sale performance, I got connection issues twice with my ASG, once with ASG1 and once with ASG2 (= 2 shipments to the US and back at my charge), si I'm a bit skeptical about their recessed 2-pin connectors design. Especially because I'm a careful person who always transports IEMs in rigid cases. Strangely enough, although it is said to be more fragile, I never got a single issue with IEMs having MMCX connectors...

ASG2.5 were a nice step-up regarding shell quality though, but I find the mids less gorgeous than on the previous iterations, and the Angies are a nice change.

I dealt with this a couple times. Every time aurisonics took care of me and i just  paid shipping there.

I had a gold set i gut used from a regular user who will remain un-named. they arrived with the pin connectors all screw* d up.

I gifted the money so I was s**** outta luck but a local Head-Fi'er bought them and replaced the 2 pin and is currently enjoying some massively discounted ASG 2.5.

I almost hard wired my ASG 2.5 with cable but it seemed wrong to do that to a 25k version. Maybe if i get a plastic 2.5 with a messed up connector THEN i'll give that a shot. The 2 pin recessed port might make a nice strain relief

That's messed up vapman. Out the person!!

tienbasse Jmills8 is just being jmills8. He means no harm, he is normally a helpful chap.

I don't care for the build of aurisonics personally. The sound, we'll, that's another story. They do sound very good, but I've moved in to better things. I won't miss them.

Obviously my homie has no problem using gluing the 2.5's loose cable in place until he fixes it but the thought of that makes me LOL.

I can't lie I thought of doing it probably a dozen times but never could bring myself to.

I sold em for him to 300 bucks in cash and showed him the problem in person so it's all good on all ends... if I got 24k 2.5's for $300 i would probably do something like glue or hardwire them... except the spite I still have for the original seller
