[REVIEW] Aurisonics ASG-2 & 2.5 (with many comparisons)
May 14, 2014 at 8:21 AM Post #4,878 of 7,021
If you don't have the asg2 to compare to it, you may as well be describing the way the asg2 sounds.

May I ask is there any specific reason for the ASG-2.5 MUST sound HUGELY DIFFERENT from the ASG-2 especially when both are from the same line? May be someone is generous enough to lend me a pair for comparison.

I charge. I require your signature in writing that you will provide me with 22 digi hugs on demand 24/7/365. I may provide you holidays if the first digi hug is of high quality. You must also release me from any liability of bodily injury :3

Can't blame him for not having both of them

Yes true. I meant it as a good thing. I have had the ASG2 since release, and have been a pretty big fan of the sound. So what I am saying is, if someone has never even listened to the ASG2 and jumped to the ASG2.5, the difference he is hearing from the 2.0 to 2.5 is absolute and not relative to our ears. Us current ASG2 owners cannot really take his 2.5 review into account because the ASG2 sounds exactly as he described the ASG2.5.

Anyone has an idea why this guy got so unhappy about ASG-2?

i think some people speculated some sort of faulty unit because his graphs showed the ASG2 being horrendous

Bit of a sore subject. Search back through this thread for more info (so we don't have to rehash the arguments again) and you'll get a pretty good idea. They weren't actually his IEMs, he was measuring a member's pair (that was later determined to be defective IIRC).

Well he should at least take that page down or it'd be giving people a wrong impression of the ASG-2's.

I've sent him a message to try and get a re-measurement but I'm still waiting for a response mate.
