[REVIEW] Aurisonics ASG-2 & 2.5 (with many comparisons)

I think I'll be adding the GR07 Bass Edition to the comparisons too. I'm on my 4th pair of GR07s. It really is one of those iems that makes you look at your TOTL iems and wonder what the hell you're doing.

Hopefully it will give some perspective to those wondering if they should make the (expensive) jump into the upper IEM tiers.

You have no idea how much I'm looking forward to that. The only reason I never got a pair is because when it comes to my daily driver iems I've had terrible luck with non removable cables

I don't think I've seen anyone report a failed cable within one year of ownership. Even then, BTG audio offers cheap recables.

Well at this point I have the ASG-2 which makes me happy. I'm not sure if it would be worth it to get the GR07 at this point.

True, but the GR07 is really good.

So I've heard. Maybe after I get something to compliment the ASG-2 [FA-4e XB I'm lookin at you], I'll get a GR07 for a back up for ASG-2 like sig, and a Etymotic [if I can get used to it] for the neutral sig backup

Sounds like what I'm going to do. ASG-2, modded UE900 for neutral allround and CK100pro or FA-4E Xb. But I sold my GR07 mkII as I don't feel I use them at all. I might keep the R-50 though. Which I think is comparable to GR07 and just fits my line up better. But it will be interesting to read what Eke thinks about GR07 BE vs ASG-2. For me, that's where the real diminishing returns start. At the ~$100-150 mark.
