I think that someone said that those were fakes. You can get the Ortos from Musica. I lucked out cause Cn11 just happened to have some spares for me when we met up. The Ortos are definitely my favorite tips for the G-2. Really opens up the sound. They can sound narrow, compressed and sibilant when listening thru tips like Sony hybrids

Now first impressions of the IE800: MUCH better. Definitely hear the dip in the mids, and they're a bit warmer because of having less 2k-5k emphasis than something like the ER4S or F111. Somehow it seems to work on the IE800 though, and vocals don't sound recessed, even on tracks known to have less vocal emphasis. Surprising! Even boosting 3k didn't sound quite right for some reason. I don't think it works with the treble peaks. 
 
The biggest treble peak isn't until above 10k to my ears, which allows the IE800 to avoid harshness imo. It's a little peaky overall, but definitely nowhere near the Flat-4 to my ears. Cymbals can have a tendency to sound brittle, with the right shimmer but not enough body.  
 
Compared the ER4S, the IE800 is massively different. The ety is much more "open" and much more detailed. The IE800 moves more slowly, with a bigger soundstage, and just a totally different goal with it's sound.

Fakes. Well not technically fakes as these are stated as "replacement"...

And if you plan to order note that its size are a tad smaller than the typical sonys or other silicone tips and are very soft. I usually use medium but with ortofons I need large.

Eke, here's a short set of impressions for your front page linkage from another thread, full context.

Tried the ASG2 in AV Show in Hong Kong. I will assume that the bass switch is on the lowest notch. The sound didn't sound too dark for me, but the bass was quite heavy and sort of bled into the mids. For the price it was asking for it was alright. The SE846 didn't sound too impressive.

It's an interesting tuning IMO that they can get the bass that weighty and still keep the mids reasonably in line. If you felt the bass was quite heavy then I suspect the port was open a bit (they ship to customers with it on notch 2/4, ie one notch past closed). If anyone else goes, that would be a good question to ask.

Sure thing! But mind that it was actually a few minutes of the ASG-2 with the Sony A844 which is known to boost the highs and mids. The bass was actually punch and deep, but it was a shame it bled into mids. The mids and highs stood out alone, and were quite clear, but you can feel the bass seeping into the mids.

I actually ordered my Ortofon tips here, because the seller will send you whatever sizes you want. So I got one small and two medium, as I knew I never use large tips anyway.

Both are medium size. Right side are the "ortofon" you get from Amazon. These are generic Sennheiser tips, although the buid quality is pretty good.
On some particular IEMs I have, the senn tips sounds better. But in most cases the Ortofons win, and these are more comfortable.

I'd prefer for the impressions to be in more controlled, extended listening environments. Also, the impressions now have to measure up to the standards you set.
