<Renewed at 2012/03/12>The new HiFiMAN 802 & New UI named "Tai-Chi"

Thanks for the pics, retrophonic - looking at the one with the battery removed, approx 2/3rds of the way down that webpage, I'm really concerned at how flimsy the catch looks - in the unfortunate event of dropping the 901, I would imagine that the battery would break that catch very easily.

2012/10/02~03,Hifiman DR.Fang come to Taiwan(country on Earth).

The first diy moder of ibasso DX100 from Taiwan(country on Earth)

Wait, I don't get this, since Fujiya's Spring May Festival, I've seen & already photographed this setup, & even listened through it - i.e. the HM-901 line out to an external HiFiMan desktop amp.

After 5 months there's still no progress on the internal amp?? It's still functioning in DAC mode only??

This makes you appreciate what an accomplishment Ibasso has done with its DX100, that Hifiman is still not convinced it has a winning formula against the DX100!

Don't know why you guys get the idea that the internal amps has not been finished yet - the HM901's own balanced amp module has been showcased for the last two months in China already. I even read a few review / impression about it over at erji.net.

That is why I asked a question, not made a statement.

I hope that the 802 will have a PCM1704 dac chip as well, nothing seems to be confirmed for now.
I've also read on hifiman.us that the HM-601 Slim would have this Burr Brown chip, but I didn't find anything on head-direct (sill the TD1543 on both the 601 and 602).

For now, the 801 has disappeared from Head-Direct and Hifiman.us, which confirm that the 802 could hit the market pretty soon (hopefully before May

Hi.
I have read this today.http://anythingbutipod.com/2012/05/hifiman-hm-901-makes-your-wallet-and-ears-bleed-with-joy-presumably/  ,that it is not so gentle with the Hifimans.
Any comments?

I'm not sure if this has been posted, but there are lots of interesting photos of the HM901 on this page.

I translated the Chinese, via the Bing Translator, and it is a perfect translation.
I hope the 901,will be better than the 801,I already have.

I wonder why did Hifiman go with its own UI? i mean it will never be on Android's level. Or Rockbox...

The ABI guys are twats who automatically hate anything costing more than 99 dollars. Just avoid the place if your goal is great sound quality

That may be unfair though to judge before it releases. At least from the demo they provided it looked quite similar to something the Sansa Fuze would offer in terms of UI (which I really enjoyed BTW). So we'll have to see if Hifiman can deliver. Not that I'm really in the market now considering ibasso has manged to further polish their DAP (Sound and functionality).

$999.99 Dollar question when is it available for sale?I am getting sick of waiting for it because it has been almost a year of talking about! I know i am going to get criticism for this comment. Toss us a bone and least put the image back up on the head direct site so i can sleep at night knowing that one day i might own a 901.
