<Renewed at 2012/03/12>The new HiFiMAN 802 & New UI named "Tai-Chi"

Don't forget that most people these days don't care about music quality. It's more of a quantity game these days. Quality has really gone down the tubes with this generation of music lol.

If you didn't already see this interview with Fang about HM-901 (and RE-400), then here you go:

So is the release date officially confirmed at March? Like for real this time? Because this wait is really starting to piss me off. I am sorry for my rage but its been forever, with little to no info/public relation. Its getting real old. Also i am really curious as to the trade in offer for the 801, any development on that?

Well once the trade in offer reaches North America ill be happy, the way things have been going that could be another year! Lol what was the trade in offer again...was it a $400 credit with ur hm801?

The 901 comes with a standard amp module which is not designed for low impedance multi BA IEMs. This means a no go for me.
I might just mod the GAME amp in my 801 and live happily ever after...

Again, this has been mentioned a few times in the past. The current stock amp card is under 1ohm in output impedance so it is perfectly fine to use with multi-BA IEM.

I just measured mine and it is about 0.6ohm.

Probably once the HM-901 is more available internationally, it would be clearer for those keen on it?

While can understand the issues with higher impedance, seems many are able to get by well enough with their ciems and iems and the iRiver AK100's 22 ohm impedance.

Hope the announcement will arrive with more news on the changeable amp options.

Are you saying that you already have a 901?

Anyway, I haven't read what the output impedance of the stock amp in the 901 is. Where was this stated?

Because I didn't post anything about it here but on the other HM901 thread (page 26 onward).

Here is what Fang said:

We‘ve removed resisters from HM-901 amp module and re-adjusted the gain setup to make sure you guys will be happy when it is available in the next a few weeks.

Fang

The measurement is done by me, which I assume is the only published output impedance measurement for HM901 at the moment.
