Does musicteck stock it already? I’ll def order from them yeahAre there any LP retailers in EU? If not, you might need to do Aliexpress, or maybe buy it from Musicteck and ship it to EU?

I don’t know yet. I am asking LP China directly. If it turns out that they don’t have an oversea plan yet, I am planning to buy one from them and FedEx it to me. I may even be able to start a short audition tour on my own.Does musicteck stock it already? I’ll def order from them yeah
I think it would be best to speak to Barra in the USA. He's running a bunch of tours and has loads of experienceHi everyone, I am doing a quick interest check for the LP W1: How many of you would be interested in doing an audition of it & post some feedback in the forum?
I have figured out the logistics and I am now planning to buy it from China and Fedex it to me. After getting it, I will try it for a few days, and then send it to whoever is interested. The person who receives it keeps for another week, and then passes it to the next member and so on - basically a standard audition tour.
I am of course not related to LP in anyway, and the purchase and shipping from China is on me. I am just interested in this new product and, since I will buy it and keep it anyway, I want more people to be able to experience it. (It doesn’t look like that LP would want to do this tour on their own.)
As for folks in EU, after doing the tour in the US I can then send it to EU so long as the shipping is not too crazy.. (Michael would you be the host?)
If enough people in US and EU are interested, I will place the order soon. It should arrive around Christmas, and the tour can begin in January. Please PM me or simply reply to me if you are interested. Thanks.
Ah Andrew said W2 should be in stock late this month and W1 next yearDoes musicteck stock it already? I’ll def order from them yeah
Andrew doing his best to get our businessAh Andrew said W2 should be in stock late this month and W1 next year
Great news! I haven’t had the chance to check it with Andrew; seems like I don’t need to do the buy-and-ship on my own now unless there is some serious delay.Ah Andrew said W2 should be in stock late this month and W1 next year
Any idea if W1/W2 will support MQA by any chance?Sharing some more pics of the W1/W2. The sound quality is said to be on part with their middle/higher-end DAP L4.
LP says follow-up firmware will include EQs specifically designed for certain IEMs; the first one will be for Xelento.
I think not with the launching firmware. They might be able to do it in the future, but no indications currently. Looking at how time consuming it is for the Lotoo S1 to get the MQA certification, it seems to be a non-trivial process.Any idea if W1/W2 will support MQA by any chance?
Damn, such a missed opportunity in general when targeting portable USB DACs that will presumably generally go into smartphones with streaming.I think not with the launching firmware. I have heard mixed things about MQA streaming, and some companies like Chord, Schiit, and Burson do not seem to have any plan in including it. Have you done/heard about any sound test between “regular” loseless music and MQA?Damn, such a missed opportunity in general when targeting portable USB DACs that will presumably generally go into smartphones with streaming.
Thanks for the insights though!
Splitting hairs I guess but when I'm on Tidal allowing random tracks to play through discovery playlists, the songs that sound more dynamic/engaging and better recorded tend to be MQA (this is after me listening to a song for the first time with the DAP screen off and later checking), so hopefully mostly avoiding placebo.I have heard mixed things about MQA streaming, and some companies like Chord, Schiit, and Burson do not seem to have any plan in including it. In short, I do think there's a slight difference on tracks for my ears.
