I have the opportunity to buy one in gold. I buy my music, if i really like it. So no need for streaming support. Would you say the QP2R is still a good DAP to go in 2022?
Yes...recently I wasn't using my QP2R because the back glass was smashed (update, I got a plexiglas fabricator to fashion a back panel to fit). I fired my unit up again and its back to some good music listening. This bad boy is still good in 2022...especially with optical too, if you wanna use that .
Hey all... question... I have bought a used QP2R earlier this year (upgraded from my QP1R). I recently noticed an issue of it swapping channels from left to right and back again after a long pause. If you simply pause and play in a few seconds nothing out of the ordinary happens. If you pause long enough to allow the output to shut off (you can hear 2 relays click) when you unpause, the channels swap sides. I can make it do this every time. Shutting the unit completely down and rebooting doesn't seem to swap the channels.
(after trying several more times, rebooting the unit does occasionally swap channels)

Sounds great! I should have thought of that! It is on the latest firmware. I checked it shortly after I got it. I'll report back after I try it. Thank you!
...so I tried to reset the unit and no luck. tried a few times (ver 1.04) and no change. re-updated the firmware 3 times and no difference at all. I tried to update it with FW 1.03 and the download did not include the correct FW name and therefore would not update once loaded into the player on the micro SD card. Any other thoughts?
@06S2k07Si My deepest apologies for not seeing this thread earlier... I'm not sure how I managed to miss it at the end of last year. Really sorry about that.
First thing on Monday I'll check with the engineers on this issue and I'll let you know what I find out.
Thank you, I contacted ttvj and he sent my concerns to someone but all they had for a suggestion was to update the fw...which I already did without any different results.
Yeah... that's the lazy response, isn't it? I'll poke a bit deeper on Monday and see what's going on here, see if I can get any better answer/solution for you.

@06S2k07Si Ok! As promised I poked a bit deeper for you and have some answers, I'll PM you first, and then we'll circle back to this forum once we're finished.

They were very busy. I was given a different firmware to try and unfortunately it didn't change anything. If we come up with a fix I'll post back. Thank you to Questyle for getting back to me.
