No need for apologies, that's a great post you wrote there wje, informative, objective, and no bashing, my kind of post.
And i agree that people who think that the highs of the PS1000 are too bright for their taste, might want to try the 500 with G-Cush, one thing's for sure, the 500's treble is definately less extended, than the 1000.
I don't know about you, but i really think that Grado is on to something with this wood and metal combination, and at $600 retail, i think that the PS500 are priced right at that sweet spot where you still get a lot for your money.
