I've been planning to experiment a little with "super"tweeters my self, but haven't come around to do that yet...
How are they connected?

Piezo. They're the TakeT Batpro. I've had them for a few months. They made for very interesting reviewing.

Duggeh what is the amp occupying the bottom shelf of your rack? It looks very spiffy!
...They usually hook up with a jumper cable from your speaker terminals, but you could also buy a biwire pair of speaker wires.

Pass Labs Aleph M. I bought it from Digitalmind. Its technically too low power for the Quads, but its just simply a better amp than the NAD with its far greater power reserve. I don't listen loud anyway as you know. I normally have my speaker bi-wired. All I did was move one set of wires from the speakers to the Batpro. You can alternatively run a jumper set of wires from the speaker to the supertweeter.

The one sitting next to the reel-to-reel in the second picture?
Looks like a chair to me. A fairly mad one, but the shape looks right.

Hello JSTpt1022,
Do you mean the thing to the left on the second photo?
It is a chair. I tried to find some information on it without any luck. I would be nice to know who the designer is?

You really should try "Amstel" beer from The Netherlands.
Or "Jupiler" beer from Belgium.
My two favourite beers

But "overseas" I have good experiance with "Stella Artois Export" beer, and that while I really don't like the regular Stella they serve in Belgium...

But anyways, back on topic!

Thanks for the compliments. You are absolutely right...those are the Monarchy SE-100 Delux amps. I just wanted to keep a backup solid state amp incase I wanted to change the mood/sound presentation OR if my tube amps ever had any downtime. Weird thing is that they actually sound very much like tubes, but have the extreme dynamics that tube amps can lack sometimes. However, the EMOTIONAL content throught he tube monoblocks is something else.

Anyhow, I exchanged a few emails with Mr. Poon of Monarchy Audio and there is supposed to be an update coming up for the SE-100 Delux amps that is supposed to REALLY improve the performance of the amp. I am waiting on this update which is about $200 per amp ($400 total) which inlcludes switching out the board and some parts.

I must admit that you have good taste

100 Pure Class A watts sounds sublime.

I know both Amstel and Jupiler from when I lived in Belgium as a young proto-headfier.

Belgian beers are pretty much my reference as far as good suds goes and I spent a few years of my youth devoted to tasting as many of them as possible - nights spent at the Bierodrome.

Unfortunately, I got spoiled and it made swallowing Canadian beers all the harder.

Robert Charlebois makes a few reproduction "Trappiste" style ales in Quebec which are quite good other than that, it's the usual Anglo-American mosquito pee.

I reorganized the room to allow for access to cupboards and windows, and for better storage. I also moved my overly noisy pc out of the cupboard where it was (to keep it quiet) and bought a new Antec Solo case to bring it down to acceptable volumes.
